Challenge The Elements

Ribcraft build totally 'in house' by the traditional method. GRP hull, marine ply transom, a cross linked marine ply matrix in the hull capped with a marine ply deck, all fibre glassed in situ. Stainless steel fuel tank(s) and all deck furniture in GRP (consoles, bench seating, jockey seats, etc) marine grade upholstery and 18/8 quality stainless steel.

The GRP lay ups comprise 12 interspersed layers of chopped strand mat and roving cloths of reinforced glass matting of 350 gm/sq m.

The GRP process results in a hull thickness of 12mm overlapped at the keel making for a thickness of 24mm. Ribcraft believe this to be the most robust hull construction in the industry. Tube fabric is Hypalon® - Orca® 828 at 1300 gm/sq m (or Orca® 866 at 1500 gm/sq m - commercial specification) from Pennel Industries (France) with 5 -7 valved compartments/tube set depending upon the model. Available in a wide range colours they are pressure tested for 5 days before gluing to the hull moulding. All Ribcraft have a 5 year warranty on both the hull and tube set.
