Polymarine is one
of the largest distributors world wide to both the marine trade
and retail customers for inflatable boat spares. Founded
30 years ago the company business was fairly mixed - own brand
and other inflatable
parts and accessories, inflatable boat, engine and trailer
sales including engine and inflatable boat service and repair.
In more recent years the directors,
Richard Wilkinson and Mike Capper, have expanded the
range of inflatable boat spares and accessories
with new products and a move to greater world
wide
export sales. This
greater emphasis on spares and accessories came at a time when
more inflatable boats came to the market from the Far East
and South Africa.
Polymarine now concentrates specifically on its parts and
accessories business. Today most sales in the UK and overseas
are serviced by distributors although there are some direct
accounts
in the UK. All products are also offered on a retail website
where customers can buy on-line.
