The 'Accomplish More' Crew

Alan Priddy
58 year old Alan has gained over 37 world records in the past 10 years. He has power boated and sailed around the world in both directions and he now knows what type of craft is required to break the World Record of 61 days.

Jan Falkowski
51 year old London psychiatrist Jan has been heavily involved in RIBs and powerboat racing since the first round Scotland race in 1990. Jan has set nine world records and currently holds seven. Jan finished first in the 50th Cowes - Poole - Cowes race and also took part in the Round Long Island race in a 50-foot Outer Limits. Jan and Alan have completed many voyages together and this challenge sees the team reunited once more.

Clive Tully
58 year old travel journalist and photographer Clive Tully accompanied Alan Priddy on all of the world record attempts on board the powerboat Spirit of Cardiff, producing daily website and newspaper updates, often under extremely challenging conditions. Along with his subsequent book "Confronting Poseidon", they were acclaimed as major contributions to marine journalism. He is also an expert video cameraman, and produced most of the footage for several TV documentaries as well as TV news output.

Shelley Jory-Leigh
41 year old business woman and British Power Boat Champion. Shelley is one of the United Kingdom’s leading powerboat racers and the top female in the world. Shelley, from Hampshire, runs a successful family bridal business - a far cry from the world of powerboat racing.

Steve Mason
61 year old Steve is an electrical engineer, a qualified British Water Ski Federation tournament ski boat driver and a MCA RYA Yachtmaster. He joined the team of the Raymarine Lively Lady Project and skippered Lively Lady on the northwest Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Mediterranean legs of her circumnavigation. As a trustee of the Around and Around Charity, Steve has spent the last few years refitting and sailing the Ohlsen38 "Robertson's Golly”.

Pietro Giovannoli
61 year old PG, from Northern Ireland has been messing around in boats all his life and is a keen supporter of Alan's Adventurers since he organised the welcome party in 1997 when they crossed the Atlantic in the Spirit of Portsmouth. Introducer of the first 'Rib Raid' in Ireland (which still continues today, with all proceeds going to 'Make-A-Wish' Foundation) PG also set up and navigated for the 'Red Bull Jet Ski Team' in the 'Around Ireland' venture and also navigated and led the 'Curragh Boat' from Scotland to Ireland.

Joe Mearns
43 year old Joe has spent most of his life designing and leading various international challenges and expeditions, mostly by bicycle, from Eastern Europe to the Himalaya with his company Greenrock. Joe’s love of everything nautical is founded in his family’s marine heritage in the Orient Pacific Line, RNLI and Fleet Air Arm, which led him to not only restore and live on three large boats over the last ten years, but also to set up the first wholly British-owned RIB building company in China in 2008.

Charles Stewart
Charles the youngster of the crew and has spent many years within the Marine Industry as a qualified Commercial Yachtmaster Power, Advanced Powerboat instructor and VHF Radio Instructor. Currently a member of the Red Bay Lifeboat serving as Helmsman and Station mechanic, and set up Redbay Powerboating in 2007 as an RYA recognised training centre. Charles has competed in various RIB events throughout Scotland and Ireland. Born in Scotland, Charles now lives in Co. Antrim in Northern Ireland.
