THE TULLETT PREBON
2011 LONDON INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW
Start off the New Year courtesy of
the Tullett Prebon London International Boat
Show and HotRIBS. Running from 7 – 16
January 2011 at London’s ExCeL, the Capital’s
leading boat Show is set to be some of the
busiest 10 days in the boating calendar. With
a host of brand new features and attractions
as well as regular Show favourites, the new
look Show is an unmissable day out, where everything
to do with activity on, in and under the water
is there to be discovered.
Lucky Readers
To brighten up your January, HotRIBS is offering four lucky readers the chance to win a pair
of tickets to the Show. The Show will bring
hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the marine
industry’s finest products, services
and equipment and roughly 1000 boats ranging
from kayaks and dinghies to sail boats,
motor yachts and ribs will be on show to
climb aboard, explore and trial.
"Do You Know Your RIBs?"
To be in with a chance of winning a pair
of tickets simply
pit your wits against
other RIBsters. This year saw an unprecedented
array of console designs and
configurations fitted on the RIBs at the
Southampton Boat Show.
Simply visit our console
photogallery, take
a close look at the consoles and identify the make of
rib and e-mail your answer to admin@hotribs.com by
the 19th December 2010.
Winners will be determined by the
number of correct answers for the make of
RIB. In the event of a tie, the identification
of the actual model will then
determine the winners.
Make sure you don’t miss out on the
Show’s new features for 2011:
- Used Boats – In association with
Yachtworld.com, the Show will feature
a new used boats marina
for the very first time, berthing up
to 70 used boats of all shapes and sizes.
- Watersports – An exciting new
watersports zone has been introduced.
Packed full of
products and equipment, the dedicated
zone will provide an unmissable experience
for
all visitors.
- Watersports Action Pool – Managed
by Neilson Active Holidays and Rockley Watersports
and measuring 70m x 24m, the new pool is
set to become a star attraction. Visitors
can try a diverse range of activities such
as stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), wakeboarding,
windsurfing, dinghy sailing, canoeing and
kayaking, as well as model yacht racing.
The pool will combine ‘Try It’ sessions
and live demos by watersports experts,
including a canoe polo championship and
an SUP sprint
challenge.
- A New Crew -
The Show’s new look
has been shaped by an impressive line
up of the marine world’s high flyers.
Each day at the Show, visitors will have
the chance to see sports stars such as
wakeboard legend Matt Crowhurst and Olympic
medallist Mark Covell in action and pick
their brains for tips and advice in the
new Knowledge Box. The Knowledge Box
is the place to see, listen and hear
from
expects on topics as diverse as buying
or selling a boat and wakeboarding tips
and tricks.
- Have A Go – The Show is packed
with activities to keep visitors of all
ages entertained.
Race model boats on the Model Boat Pool,
learn how to use a cruising chute, try
your hand at BrushBoarding and see some
classic
boats including Swallow, the original
boat from Swallows and Amazons.
Getting to the Show could not be easier,
as the Docklands Light Railway’s (DLR)
Prince Regent Station stops directly outside
ExCeL’s all new East entrance, the
main entrance for the Show. Visitors can
find the DLR line at Canning Town on the
Jubilee line. And with over 2,500 car parking
spaces on site, those visitors coming by
car will be comfortably accommodated.
