Youth Powerboating Event
31 young people from across Wirral, aged 8 - 16yrs entered the JuniorRIBsters 2008 Youth Powerboating event on Marine Lake, New Brighton on Saturday October 25th.

Some had never driven a RIB before, whilst others had previously entered the national
RYA Youth Rib Championship. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the instructors commented on the positive attitude of the youngsters.

As well as driving Ribs, they also had the chance of experiencing the WOW balls.

Organisers, juniorRIBsters.com, were delighted with how well the day went. Even the weather held off its worst until the end of the event. Co-sponsors, Safewater Training commented on how good it was to see so many young people using the lake again. Parents agreed, and asked about future events and plans for JuniorRIBsters.

JuniorRIBsters is the brain child of Jon Geddes. His passion is to promote safety, develop skills and have fun on the water. A crew member of West Kirby RNLI, he is an advanced instructor and skipper of Wind Farm support vessels. Jon's advice to his young drivers is to smile, enjoy, learn and stay safe.

Safewater Training and HotRIBS.com supplied prizes and Mitchell Group provided additional support. For further info about future events e-mail info@juniorribsters.com
