The British Marine Electronics Association (BMEA) has developed a new website, www.bmea.org which allows both consumers and members to see a multitude of information and news regarding marine electronics and the association. The new site has a clean, contemporary design. It has sections about the BMEA, details of its British Marine Electronics Technician (BMET) Scheme, information about what to look for when purchasing marine electronics and the latest news from the Association and its membership. To help consumers, there is a useful directory which allows them to search the members list by region, company type and type of products sold. For members, there is a password-protected area, which includes member's news, committee communications and a copy of the Association's Code of Practice. Ian Lockyer, Marketing Manager for Icom (UK) Ltd and webmaster for the website said,' the new website has received a major overhaul with the clear objective of creating a port of call for consumers and members alike in relation to marine electronics and association news. My thanks to those member companies for assisting me in putting the site together. About the BMEA? There are many aspects to the work of the Association. Representing
the
interests of members and promoting high standards of professionalism
