BRP Recreational Products UK Ltd has announced its sponsorship of three individuals planning to be the youngest people to ever circumnavigate the British Isles and Ireland.

Archie Ward, Harry Edwards and Jack Haigh, from the Isle of Wight, will attempt the challenge this summer in an effort to raise funds for Sail 4 Cancer. Archie and Harry will be 17 years of age and Jack 18 years when they depart Sea View Yacht Club, Isle of Wight, in pursuit of circumnavigating the British Isles and Ireland on the first suitable weather window in July or August 2007.

Archie, Harry and Jack will attempt their greatest ambition yet onboard their 9 metre Ribcraft. Their RIB, which is currently undergoing a refit at Bembridge Motor Services on the Isle of Wight, will be powered by one of the cleanest outboard engine technologies on the market today, twin Evinrude® E-TEC(T) 250hp outboard engines. These engines, manufactured by BRP, are not only powerful and clean but also offer exceptional fuel efficiency and require little maintenance.

Archie, Harry and Jack are highly qualified and have extensive powerboating experience, over 20 years between them. Outside their school studies, both Archie and Harry have part-time jobs as safety boat officers, and Jack as a boatman at Sea View Yacht Club.
