GB Boosts aftermarket service staff. |

Suzuki GB boost their UK staff with four more top appointments to complete the new Suzuki GB Aftersales service team, which now numbers over 30. The Suzuki Marine team will be based at the new purpose built aftersales, parts, finished goods distribution centre facilities at Milton Keynes, which opened on the 4 July 2005. Garry Porter joins the team as Technical Co-ordinator and will be available to dealers providing specialist technical support. After 15 years at Volvo Penta, he is looking forward to being part of the team, "Outboards are now as sophisticated as the most advanced car technology, and more so in some cases, all with the added demands of a harsh marine environment," he said. Russell Newell brings comprehensive knowledge on service support from his experience of running two service departments within the UK's largest Peugeot dealership.

John Bailey will also be providing technical support. He joins the company from the R&D side at EP Barrus Ltd and says he ".. is looking forward to working with the Suzuki technology." The fourth new member of the team is Ian Austin, who joins as Technical Administrator with responsibilities for product information updates, service bulletins and factory service campaigns. Suzuki Marine builds four-stroke outboard motors from 4hp-250hp, and has won a number of innovation awards for its fuel-injected models. The latest engines in the Suzuki range, the DF150 and DF175, will be displayed at the Southampton Boat Show in September.
