Suzuki EU2005 Compliant
Fuel Injected Outboards

Suzuki Outboards

Suzuki has announced that all 2005 season Suzuki electronic fuel injected 4-stroke outboards meet the new stringent EU2005 emissions standards, which become effective throughout the European Union on 1st January 2006.

the recently introduced V6's 200/225/250hp are added to the 40/50/60/70/90/115 and 140hp models to give compliant electronic fuel injected models in 10 separate horsepower ratings - strengthening Suzuki's leading position in this sector.

The new EU2005 standards demand the individual monitoring of three main
pollutants - Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrocarbons (HC) and Nitrogen Oxide
(NOx).

This differs from the EPA2006 and CARB2008 emission regulations being introduced in the USA as these only set standards for HC and NOx with no limit on CO emissions.

A spokesman from Suzuki Marine Sales in Europe says, "Europe is a major market for our advanced fuel efficient 4-strokes and we are working hard to meet the demands of the knowledgeable, discerning European boat owner. We welcome the EU emissions initiative and fully support its objectives. We are pleased to offer a wide choice of motors which meet the standards well in advance of their formal introduction."
