Suzuki turn up the heat on European Competition
Suzuki Marine has launched its first ever Pan European promotional programme to support the launch of the most powerful 4-stroke outboard motors Suzuki has ever built: the 200hp, the 225hp and the 250hp V6 models. Covering 14 European countries and appearing in 44 publications it's highly unlikely that you will not miss information on these impressive outboard motors whichever magazine you take.

The more powerful outboard motors become the larger and heavier they are. That certainly seemed to be the case until Suzuki rintroduced their new V6 4-stroke range. When designing the V6 Suzuki engineers were set the task of producing a motor which was smaller and lighter than other 4-strokes, without scarifying any power and performance.

Starting afresh they produced a motor specially designed for marine use which meets these criteria in full and which is the lightest in the V6 category.

The team abandoned the conventional 60 degree cylinder bank angle and adopted an all new 55 degree layout whilst maintaining a balanced 60 degree crank - an industry first. Narrowing the angle of the V automatically creates a motor which is slimmer and more compact than comparable 4-strokes. At 55 degrees everything can be smaller and more compact, therefore, saving weight.

Top of the range 250hp DF250 is the World's most powerful V6 4-stroke and has already won Suzuki the prestigious American National Marine Manufacturers Association (NNMA) Innovation Award for technological breakthrough.
