Gemini Inflatables - Clipper Gemini
Major new product launches by Clipper Ventures plc and Gemini Inflatables recently attended the UK launch of two major initiatives in the UK RIB market.

South African based Gemini Inflatables and Clipper Ventures plc from the UK made a joint presentation in Southampton UK which included a spectacular display by their new corporate fleet of ten matched 6.0m Gemini RIBS.

Well known RIB personality Paul Lemmer has taken up the position of Sales Manager for the Clipper Gemini range in the UK and he told HotRIBS, " I'm delighted to be representing Clipper Gemini as all their range of products,
from the smallest yacht tender up to their 9.5m high speed RIB offer the same superb and well known build quality."

There are two distinct ranges of Clipper Gemini RIBS available: The leisure WAVERIDER range. commercial SEAHAWK and INTERCEPTOR range.

These products feature the same hull shapes and dimensions but differ in their construction and fittings.

The Waverider 470 is a very popular, simple and straightforward RIB whereas the Waverider 505 and 550 are the "backbone" of the range with the commercial versions used widely in SA and Australia as surf rescue craft. The Waverider 600, 730 and 850 complete the extensive range but it is the 600 which forms the Clipper Ventures' corporate RIB charter fleet.

Clipper Ventures and Gemini believe they now offer the largest UK fleet of matched RIBS for charter and they expect to be present at all major UK maritime events during 2000. This new RIB charter fleet was used to carry some 60 guests across the Solent to Cowes to watch the start/finish of a Round the Isle of Wight speed record attempt by Gemini. Clipper record breakers, Henning Blaauw and William Ward, set new Isle of Wight world speed record.
